Free Toby Mac concert at D-backs Faith & Family Night Game
In spite of school starting soon for many homeschool families, there is still time for some great family outings. The Arizona Diamondbacks host an annual Faith and Family Night designed specifically for groups of family and friends and faith-based congregations. It is also a great opportunity for Phoenix area homeschool support groups. StreetLight Phoenix, safehouse for girls recovered from child sex slavery, has partnered with the Arizona Diamondbacks and Grand Canyon University for this year’s Faith and Family Night on August 26, 2011. The D-Backs will be playing the San Diego Padres, and a Toby Mac concert is included in...

Mountainside Fitness of Peoria offering a new PE class for homeschoolers
from homeschooler Stephanie Webber: I just learned that my gym – Mountainside Fitness in Peoria – will be offering a new PE class for homeschoolers! The cost is $10 a month for members, $15 non members. Usually, if there is a sibling, the class is only $5 more for them, so I’m assuming the same for this one but am not sure.  It’s for 5 & up, but she said they would incorporate the younger ones if they wanted,  but they do not want to take the time from the older ones. It is M, W, F from 1-2, and since you...
