Homeschooling Artists Featured in Oprah’s Favorite Things Magazine
Monday November 28, 2011 BROOKLINE, VT — The work of local artists Noelle and Eric VanHendrick was recently honored by Oprah Winfrey, who gave it a coveted place in Oprah’s Favorite Things magazine just in time for the holidays. Oprah’s people approached the VanHendricks at the New York International Gift Fair, and said they admired the Brookline couple’s pottery bowls and cups and asked if they would like to be in Oprah’s Favorite Things magazine. Child founder of Art 4 All begins statewide Art Tour
Most children have their artwork displayed on the refrigerator, or perhaps on their parents’ desks at work. Nine-year-old Hannah Walton has her art on display at the City Hall of Alexander City  – the first stop on her Y.E.S. 2 Art Tour, a statewide art awareness and fundraising campaign. The exhibit, which opened Monday, will be on display in the lobby of city hall through Oct. 21. Arts and Academics collide in this fun introduction to arts technique. Students will work on vocabulary builders, math and science skills, and other important subjects that complement their homeschool training.
