An offer from Lord Scott to the Gentleman of the Family

Aloof? Distant? Protests that he would rather not dance?

Had no intention of coming to the Ball but was “forced” along by the ladies?

Are we describing Mr. Darcy?

Or perhaps we are describing Dad!

I cannot tell you how many times a gentleman has approached me at the end of a Ball and said something like “I really didn’t want to come but my wife (and/or daughter) made me … and I’m so glad she/they did. I haven’t had such a good time in years!”

We Make History is Family Friendly. We love seeing multiple family members of multiple generations enjoying themselves together as they experience the grace, respect, fashion and dance of former times. It is healthy for all in so many ways!

The Pride & Prejudice Ball has always had a great appeal for the ladies … and for discerning gentlemen as well. But to encourage more fathers to join in a special evening for their wives and daughters … thereby making it all the more special … I offer the following…

For every family of four or more who attend the 2011 Pride & Prejudice Ball together, I will gladly cover the cost of father’s pass as my gift to you and a thanks for taking part as a family. In other words, order four (or more) passes for your immediate family and I’ll add dad’s pass gratis.

Whether ordering by mail or by PayPal simply include a note stating “we are paying for “x” amount of passes for our family” … plus “please send one additional pass for father”.

Your servant … and blessed to be so.

Lord Scott of We Make History
