This is a homeschool parent-led, family-run, all-ages-welcome PE activities hour.

STARTS: September 7th, 2011
WHEN: Every Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.

Hello fellow homeschoolers! I’m trying to be more intentional with physical activity for myself and my kids. Therefore, I would like to invite you to join us for some semi-formal (as I’m NOT a P.E. teacher) P.E. fun! I will be organizing some sort of physical activity for kids of all ages. Actually, I would LOVE if the parents would participate too. I’ve done A LOT of reading and one of the common threads to keeping our kids healthy is seeing their parents make healthy choices. With that said, I will do the hard work of organizing & planning, however, I will definitely need your help out there on the “field”. I want to make this as friendly for all age kids but if the particular activity isn’t great for little ones, I’ll still have balls and some fun things for them to play with while the older ones are working up a sweat.

We are all busy so I’m just looking at once a week for right now, Wednesdays at 8:00 a.m. (moving back a bit in winter) for about an hour starting September 7th at a park at 75th Ave. & Greenway. The park is Paseo Verde Park, 7561 W. Greenway Rd, Peoria, AZ 85345. The park has ramadas, a basketball court, multipurpose fields, a playground (for after p.e., if you want to stay , restrooms and a drinking fountain. If you plan to attend, please let me know. I am interested if there is an interest for this or not. If there is, I’ll end up setting up an FB page just for it. Also, please remember water bottle, hat, sunscreen and tennis shoes. Lastly, this is going to be a FREE group. So many families have been hit in the pocketbooks, including our family, and I’m hoping we can all work together in this group to make it great even without the financial commitment! Please let me know if you have any questions. This is a brand new concept for me and I’m sure there will be snags…please bear with me. This will be all in the name of fun & fitness!
