from the HNN blog:
Congratulations to our family friend Phoebe Bermudez, homeschooled teen in Georgia! She just brought home a first place and second place speech and debate award in her Region 8 qualifying tournament of the National Christian Forensics and Communication Association.
Her speech performances in the Original Oratory and Duo Interpretation categories won her a spot in the upcoming Regional tournament. The NCFCA National Tournament begins June 14 in Massachusetts. This national homeschool speech and debate organization seeks to address “life issues from a Biblical worldview in a manner that glorifies God,” through competitions held in all regions of the United States.

Hooray! So proud of you, Phoebe! This has been such a great experience for you. I recommend NCFCA opportunities to all other homeschool students who want to develop poise and confidence in public speaking.
