My family and I just had the privilege to see Soul Surfer Friday night. Amazing! It is definitely a movie to see.
We were impressed by its cinematic excellence, the high-quality actors, incredible surfing footage, gentle yet realistic and tactfully handled shark attack and hospital scenes, and the courage and faith of young Bethany Hamilton. I was extra pleased to see her family’s faith and homeschooling featured in a positive light, and that the movie seemed to parallel the actual events quite closely (there was actual footage during the credits of the Hamilton family and certain scenes copied in the big-screen version).
I am looking forward to learning more about this remarkable family and young lady.
